A Court of Thorns and Roses
Just for fun, I made a few comics based on Sarah J. Maas's A Court of Thorns and Roses. The first turned out a lot better than the second, but both were really helpful experiments with longer-form comics, and translating pre-written prose into comic form.

Sarah J. Maas does not have any association with Begonias and Bonedust, though I do enjoy her work.

March 2025
This was for Professor Normandie Luscher Acevedo's Body: An Anthology, a collection of comics exploring the body soon to be published. I wanted to do something that celebrated the wonderful variety of sex (as in differences between male, female, and other) in the animal kingdom in order to fight the idea that queerness is somehow "new" or "unnatural." There are so many animals I couldn't fit here or who fell outside the scope of this tiny comic. Nature is queer as heck, and it's awesome!

Red Riding Hood
For an assignment for my Drawing for Comics class with Professor Frank Cammuso, I did first an 18-panel "traditional" Red Riding Hood, and then a longer, weirder version. This was a lot of fun.
