Sketchbooks

Here are some miscellaneous sketchbook images!

Some of these are from a sketchbook class I took with Professor Ginnie Hsu in Fall 2024, where we filled four sketchbooks with art and research on topics of our choosing. I picked animal and human anatomy, Japanese folklore, and for the last two, landscapes and clothing in research for a different project.

More recently, I took a trip to Scarborough and finished a whole sketchbook!

Midjourney Animations

This was a digital art project where we created collages of Midjourney images we created using prompts, then used those collages to make short animations using Adobe Animate. They are shown in the order I finished them in, along with the prompts given by the professor. The first two are silent, but the last has sound.

Vashti's Fall

For a digital art class, we worked with Blender to create short videos. This is Vashti, a fox character I've worked with for a while, discovering that her world is not all as it seems.

I made this all in Blender, and some of the sounds are from freesound.org. I may come back and edit in a middle (and fix the unsatisfying sounds), but here is at least a draft!

Warm-Up

I made this for a digital art class as part of a rotoscoping project. I wanted to practice a lot of different movements, so I filmed myself doing various things, edited them together, then paired them with a theatre tongue twister exercise used to warm up.

Miscellaneous Theatre

I did a lot of theatre in high school and college, usually either acting, or making props, posters, or other miscellaneous items. There were so many visually stunning productions I was able to be a part of -- here are some of my contributions.
